Clinic Appointment Booking App
A mobile app connecting patients and clinics with secure electronic health records.
Medicare Plus wanted a single touchpoint letting patients book appointments across multiple partner clinics, while keeping a personal health record that persists across visits instead of each clinic holding its own disconnected file.
The challenge
Health data is among the most sensitive categories to protect, yet the app still had to deliver a fast, intuitive booking experience for everyday users. The technical challenge was balancing strict security with speed of use.
The solution
FUBATECH built a cross-platform mobile app in React Native, sharing a single codebase for both iOS and Android to shorten development time. The API layer uses GraphQL, letting the app fetch only the data each screen actually needs, significantly reducing payload size on mobile networks.
All health records are encrypted to a HIPAA-equivalent standard, with strict access control separating patients, doctors, and front-desk staff. An automated push-notification reminder system was designed specifically to reduce missed appointments.
The results
After launch, the platform connected over 40 partner clinics, the missed appointment rate dropped 58% thanks to the reminder system, and all health data was encrypted to healthcare security standards from day one of operation.
